Trim 1-10
Navan O’Mahony’s recorded a two point victory over Trim in the second round of the Premier 2 FC this morning in Bective.
Trim opened the scoring with an early point, with O’Mahony’s first point coming courtesy of an Eoin Joyce free. Two minutes later, Eoghan Nugent gave his side the lead with a well-taken point from play. Trim equalised but again it was Nugent who pointed from play to push his side ahead.
The next two scores came from the men in red and midway through the half, Trim retook the lead. Craig Munnelly O’Toole split the posts from play to leave the sides level again.
In the following five minutes, both sides scoring with the O’Mahony’s score coming from a Joyce free. Two late points from Jack McConnell gave O’Mahony’s a two point lead going into injury time but a late Trim score left the bare minimum between the side at half time.

Trim 0-06
Again, Trim were quick off the mark in the second half with an early point leading the sides level for the fifth time. In the third minute, Craig Munnelly O’Toole found the net to put three points between the teams for the first time.
Two minutes later, the lead was extended with a Joyce free. Trim rallied and scored two points in quick succession until Paddy Dillon scored a point from play.
A thirteenth minute point from Jack Quinn left four between the sides. Midway through the half, this was reduced to one once again following a Trim goal.
Nolan extended his sides lead with a point in the sixteenth minute, soon nullified by a Trim point at the opposite end of the field. With five minutes remaining, McConnell kicked an insurance point which proved the last score of the game leaving O’Mahony’s two point victors.
