Table-toppers Carnaross had too much in the tank for O’Mahony’s on Tuesday evening in Round 4 of the Div 9 FL, played in a sunny Paddy O’Brien Park.

Carnaross pointed from play in the second minute to take an early lead. An impressive score came in response from Paul Cunningham who rattled the net. Less than ninety seconds later, Clayton O’Sullivan did likewise to put O’Mahony’s five points up after four minutes.

The visitors were unfazed by the lightning start however, and slowly kicked their way back into the game. A point separated the sides when netminder Bríen Yourell made an impressive save. A couple of minutes later, Carnaross equalised and went on to kick five more points before the interval, while keeping the Brews Hill men scoreless.
